Obstructive sleep apnoea is a condition characterised by repeated episodes of upper airway obstruction during sleep. This results in decreased oxygen levels in the blood, increased awakening from sleep and poor sleep quality.

Sufferers of sleep apnoea typically wake up feeling unrefreshed from sleep and may report snoring, increased daytime sleepiness and impaired concentration.
