A fashion collection featuring desert designs.
A joyful collection of statement pieces – uniquely connected to the desert through people, art & story. A 5-hour drive on red earth from Alice Springs, the artists of Yuendumu and Nyrippi outstation share stories of their country and culture through bold brush strokes & an intuitive application of colour. Murdie Nampijinpa Morris, Hilda Nakamarra Rojers, Walter Jangala Brown, Theo (Faye) Nangala Hunson & Shanna Napanangka Williams are senior Warlpiri artists, living & working proudly on their country. The family of respected elders (deceased) Valerie Napurrurla Morris and Liddy Napanangka proudly exhibit the work of their ancestors.
Through this collaboration with NORTH, the artists invite you to celebrate Warlpiri culture and their artwork, shared for the first time as fashion. The pre-order campaign will launch on ING’s Dreamstarter platform June 19th – July 18th, 2018.
