If you already have the equipment but it doesn’t want to start, The Big Mower can help you too. They not only service everything they sell, but employ more small engine mechanics and spare parts interpreters than any other mower shop in the Northern Territory.
From a basic push mower and line trimmer to commercial equipment, The Big Mower also stocks something for every budget.
“We sell and service the industry leading brands from Stihl, Honda, Victa, Hustler and Kanga,” says assistant manager Tim Findlay.
“We also offer specialised tools ranging from chainsaws, ride-ons, push mowers, generators and brush cutters to suit the contractor or weekend warrior.”
Established in 1987, The Big Mower has grown from humble beginnings to an award-winning industry leader with a team of 16.
The family business has been locally owned and operated by Jim and Flossie Gentle for the past 14 years, employing daughter Amanda Findlay as book keeper and Husband Tim as the assistant manager.
“The Big Mower is very much a family business,” says Tim.
“And our staff aren’t just highly trained, they are locals as well. We offer both product knowledge and local experience.”
The Big Mower was awarded the title of Stihl’s National Dealer of the Year for 2015, and NT Dealer of the Year for Honda Power Equipment in 2013 and 2014, as well as National Parts Dealer in 2014.
Always aiming to improve on already outstanding customer service, The Big Mower has opened a retail store at Coolalinga for the convenience of rural customers.
