PeeWee’s has garnered much accolade and recognition; the review website TripAdvisor has ranked Peewees in the Top 10 Fine Dining restaurants in Australia, and within the Top 10 restaurants in the South Pacific – a first for any restaurant in the NT.
“We are really happy for ourselves, our staff, and the NT to get recognition on an international forum,” says owner Simon Matthews.
Attaining such high ranks, and garnering world-class recognition is not an easy feat. Simon attributes PeeWee’s success to relentless effort, constant dedication, consistent training and quality personnel.

High quality customer service is paramount to PeeWee’s equation of success. PeeWee’s staff are professional and knowledgeable, undergoing constant training.
“Staff revisits both the menu and wine list with on-the-spot quizzes of the menu and wine list. Senior staff also maintain their levels of service by rotating turns as section waiters every week.”
Dedicated to his craft in the kitchen, is Chef Paul Joyes, a 33-year old chef with 10 years’ experience. Chef Paul’s speciality is contemporary and classical cuisine. At PeeWee’s, Chef Paul has created a ‘Modern Territorian’ menu with an emphasis on fresh and local produce.
