With experience in overseeing the construction of thousands of new dwellings in remote areas and recognising a need for an operational focus in the private sector, Monica’s extensive industry knowledge led to her opening Acacia Realty in 2014 as a boutique real estate service that came to the clients, rather than the other way around.
“Working with locals is what makes the business fun, and every day is different,” says Monica. “You meet some unique people with lots of history and knowledge about the Darwin rural area.”
Operating from her Acacia Hills home to keep overhead costs low, this unique approach to customer service delivery has seen the business grow to undertake both residential and commercial sales, rentals and property management across Darwin and the rural area; offering free appraisals, free advertising and fixed commissions.
Joining the team in 2016, Vicki Squires is also a rural area local, with over six years in the real estate industry. An enthusiastic and determined licensed professional with a natural flair for real estate, Vicki was drawn to the company because of the strong desire to provide clients advice that is “frank and fearless”.
Bringing a diverse range of work skills, including experience in management and training with a focus on customer service, Vicki also managed a local veterinary hospital for many years and is well-known for her genuine and caring nature.
With a fresh and honest approach to her role, Vicki’s energetic, affable personality is immediately apparent upon meeting her. Having spent most of her life in Darwin, she has a comprehensive knowledge of all that it has to offer and will not give up until an exceptional result has been achieved for her clients.
