Welcome to the July-December 2018 edition of Darwin Life magazine.
This edition’s cover features someone very close to my heart. Brendan Southwick is celebrating a successful 10 years of business operating Crossfit Territory, delivering a high-quality product that has stood the test of time. He is relentless and I am proud and in awe of his tenacity and determination to stand out from the rest, a testament to his continued success (page 38).
We continue to focus on the importance of supporting locally-owned Territory proud businesses who are the backbone of our local economy and employ many in the Top End; from café start-ups like Colquhoun’s Coffee (pg220) to Darwin stalwart Jape’s Furnishing Superstore, who are celebrating 40 years of business (pg24). From plumbers and builders to community organisations, schools and charities, the diverse mix of industries and services within the Territory continues to grow to meet the ever-expanding demands of locals.
We are proud to showcase some of our Local Legends; including Professor Grahame Webb (pg168) and Lance Martin, director of Get Real Workwear (pg154) as well as talking to past winners of the NT Australians of the Year Tony Burns (pg 212) and Bridie Duggan (pg 208).
As usual, we at Darwin Life have enjoyed bringing you the stories of the Territory and the people who live, work and play here. So when I knock on your door, know that DarwinLife is the only magazine to partner with for your business advertising. Together we can show the Territory and the world how great we have it here.
