Estelle’s Florist

Estelle’s favourite are roses.
“Red roses symbolise love and desire, but roses come in a variety of colours, each with their own meaning.”
White rose: purity, innocence, reverence, a new beginning, a fresh start.
Red rose: love, I love you
Deep, dark crimson rose: mourning
Pink rose: grace, happiness, gentleness
Yellow rose: joy, friendship, the promise of a new beginning
Orange rose: desire and enthusiasm
Lavender rose: love at first sight
Coral rose: friendship, modesty, sympathy

“I’ve always had a fascination for beautiful fresh flowers,” said owner, Estelle Cornell. “I remember driving to the Brisbane markets with my father early in the morning in his fruit delivery truck, and I loved visiting the market’s fresh flower stalls. It was always the highlight of my journey with him. I thought of spoiling my mum with them as well…”

Whether it’s celebrating the birth of a baby, a gift for expectant mothers, weddings and bridal bouquets or engagements, the team of floristry professionals are well-known for innovation and creativity. Brides-to-be can even book a hen’s event and learn to make beautiful flower crowns.

Estelle’s Florist also supply funeral and sympathy arrangements as well as gifts for loved ones recuperating in hospital. Open 7 days a week with a daily delivery service means it’s easy to let someone know you care.

“Flowers are a symbol of love,” said Estelle. “From the beginning of our lives to the end, almost every sentiment imaginable can be expressed with fresh flowers. Orange blossoms for instance, mean chastity, purity and loveliness, while the red chrysanthemum means ‘I love you’.”
