Mumpreneur | Cassie Valastro
I am fitness model and adventurer using my platform and voice to bring awareness to amazing causes and charities throughout Australia.
Juggling working from home and having a demanding family life can be very tricky at times, especially when there is a lot on. Having a lot of support helps tremendously, especially as a single mum. I have had to learn how to manage my time wisely to make sure that I am able to maintain a good work/life balance.
Time management is a key part to staying focused as well as being well organised. However, in my line of work, having a good manager (thank you Rodney Lambert of The Firm Talent Management) to help with some of the items that need done and to remind me of appointments and deadlines is invaluable.
The best advice I can give someone starting out is to believe in yourself, be honest with yourself and most importantly always be willing to learn.
I honestly feel that my greatest achievement is yet to come as there is so much I want to do and achieve, I think my time as the Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Ambassador in 2014 has been the most rewarding. It was a full on learning experience where which helped build my self-confidence and overall presence. Like I mentioned earlier, you must be willing to learn, and during that time I was able to learn so much about myself and the industry as a whole. It was a truly amazing experience.
