Measure your space first then pick a size and shape that will fit the space

Pick a colour and pattern that matches some other feature in your home or at least doesn’t clash with anything that you already have.

Consider materials – Natural fibres such as grass, hemp, jute, or sisal are very strong and sustainable, plus they add texture to your space however in our climate they are susceptible to mould and will eventually break down.

Synthetic coverings, such as polypropylene or plastic rugs are much more durable, they often come in a range of brighter colours, can be easily hosed down and dry quickly. Additionally, they are lightweight so you can easily roll them up to move them around. Perfect for the wet season!
