The Palmerston Markets are a family orientated non-profit organisation. Now in it’s 29th year, the markets have really come of age with something for everyone. Located in the heart of Palmerston’s CBD, the markets centre of activity is Goyder Square, which is close to the Palmerston Shopping Centre and a short stroll from the main bus interchange.

The markets operate from the last Friday in April to the last Friday in October, which covers the top ends beautiful dry season. Located in Palmerston’s Francis Mall and adapting to the ever changing landscape of the Palmerston CBD, the markets have always used Goyder Square as a centre for activities and entertainment, sharing it with the thousands of Rainbow Lorikeets who also call it home.

Every Friday evening the markets provide live entertainment, ranging from multicultural dancers, country and western bands, mainstream bands and a DJ who entertains the kids with their favourite music, clowns also put on a show with games and competitions and lots of prizes to give away.
